Luisa Silva-Casullo, LMFT
Luisa Silva-Casullo, LMFT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who is passionate about working with individuals and families to overcome the challenges that lead them to seek therapy. As a new mother herself, Luisa has also developed a passion for working with women that are navigating the transition into parenthood.
Luisa’s prior work with clients has focused on addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, adjustment to life transitions, and identity issues. Luisa’s fluency in Spanish has also afforded her the opportunity to support individuals and families as they adjust to a new culture and cope with the challenges that arise from this process. Luisa works from a systemic perspective and recognizes that many of these challenges occur within the context of relationships and works with her clients to identify individual and relational solutions. Additionally, Luisa adheres to a strengths-based perspective and strives to highlight her client’s strengths and utilize them to facilitate change. Luisa earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the Catholic University of America, and went on to pursue her Master of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Delaware. After working with families in a variety of capacities, Luisa went on to attain her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family therapy from La Salle University. Additionally, Luisa is trained in Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapy, Mindfulness Based Play Family Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and has completed Level-1 Clinical Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Luisa’s hope is to create a warm and safe therapeutic space where her clients will feel supported in processing their difficulties and empowered in working towards resolutions. |
