Kaitlyn Peabody, LMFT
Kate Peabody, LMFT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in working with young adults dealing with anxiety, self-esteem issues, history of trauma and neglect, and work-life balance. She believes that while looking to our past cannot change what has already happened, it certainly can guide us in creating a better future. She believes that through creating a therapeutic environment that fosters secure attachment, her clients will be able to grow into their authentic selves in their daily lives. Kate is warm, humorous, and creative in her approach, and helps her clients build upon their own personal narrative of their lives to help them have a deeper understanding of their past, present, and future.
Kate has extensive experience working with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. She uses a strengths-based eclectic approach to therapy, including techniques from Emotion-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. Kate believes that improving and strengthening personal relationships and understanding recurring themes is imperative for a better understanding, acceptance, and love for oneself. It is her utmost priority to create a safe environment within which her clients are empowered to work through challenging and painful life experiences and gain the insight and skills they need to heal and thrive. |
