Kelly Siderio
Kelly Siderio is an intern at the West Chester Therapy Group and is working towards her Master's in Clinical Counseling from Gwynedd Mercy University. Prior to working at West Chester Therapy Group, she worked as a Special Education Teacher and holds a Master's degree in Education from Arcadia University and a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from the University of Pennsylvania. Kelly is also a Fellow at the Philadelphia Center for Psychoanalysis.
Kelly takes an integrative view of therapy, pulling from a variety of therapeutic approaches to best meet clients' individual needs. She sees the therapeutic relationship as a partnership with the goal of fostering introspection and personal agency. Therapeutic theories Kelly finds helpful include Internal Family Systems Therapy, Synergetic Play Therapy, and Psychoanalysis. However, she does not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach, and follows the client's lead in the therapeutic setting. Kelly creates a safe environment in which she welcomes and values everything the client brings to therapy. Through a lens of curiosity, without judgment, she works with the client to explore their internal and relational landscape, leading to greater self-understanding. |
